# Terms

These terms cover work quoted by SoFlo Site Forge LLC. A signed quote or invoice wins if it conflicts with this page.

## Who you are contracting with

“We,” “us,” and “our” on this page mean SoFlo Site Forge LLC, a Florida limited liability company, trading as SoFlo Site Forge. SoFlo Site Forge is the name on this site, on quotes and on invoices; the party to any agreement described here is the LLC, not any individual.

Notices under these terms reach us at [hello@soflositeforge.com](mailto:hello@soflositeforge.com), which is the channel we monitor.

## Quotes and payment

Website packages are fixed-price as listed on the [pricing page](https://soflositeforge.com/pricing/) unless we quote something custom. Work starts when we have the deposit (50%). The site does not go live until the remaining 50% is paid.

## Scope and revisions

Each package includes the pages and rounds listed on the pricing page: two rounds on Starter Website and Business Website, 1 on Launch / One-Pager. Extra rounds ($125) and extra pages ($250) are billed at the published rates, or quoted first.

If photos or copy stall more than 14 days, the timeline pauses.

## Ending a project

Either side can end a project at any time, in writing. The deposit (50%) is not refundable: it books the slot and pays for the discovery already done. The one exception is if we are the ones ending it, then we refund whatever the deposit covered beyond the work we had already performed.

When a project ends, we invoice for the work performed to that point and the deposit credits against that invoice. If the invoice comes to less than the deposit, nothing further is owed and nothing is refunded. What we have built for you so far becomes yours when that invoice is paid in full, the same rule as a finished site: ownership follows payment.

A project that goes quiet ends the same way. If we have had no response from you for 60 days, we send one written notice to the email on the quote and the project closes. A closed project can start again at the prices and availability current at that time, not at the old quote.

## Content you give us

You warrant that you have the right to use the text, photos, logos, and marks you send. You keep ownership of that material. We need a license to use it to build and host the site.

## What we create

After final payment, you own the site we built for you: layout, compiled front end, and the project files we used to ship it. We may reuse general techniques, components, and non-client-specific patterns on other work.

If a project ends before launch, the same rule applies to whatever was built by then: it transfers when the close-out invoice is paid. Ownership follows payment on both paths.

Two limits on “you own it.” Anything that came from someone else (stock photos, icons, fonts, plugins, embeds) is licensed, not owned. You get the benefit of the license we bought, on that license’s terms, and it does not become yours to resell or license on to anyone else. We will tell you which parts of the site those are and what the license allows.

Images made with an AI tool are the second limit. Work produced by a machine without human authorship may not be protectable by copyright at all, so neither of us can promise you exclusive rights to them. You can use them on your site. You cannot stop someone else from using something that looks much like them. If an image has to be exclusively yours, it needs a real shoot.

## Founding pricing

Founding rates apply to the first 8 businesses or until June 30, 2027, whichever comes first. Founding clients agree that we may show the finished site in our portfolio and marketing, with your business name. If you need that off, say so before we start; the founding rate may not apply. Founding projects include 3 months of Hosting + Care from launch; after that, monthly plans run as described below.

## Launch / One-Pager

Launch / One-Pager is one page, 1 revision, 2 slots a month. It is not Starter Website (4 to 5 pages) at a lower price. Upgrade credit toward Starter Website is 90 days from launch, as stated on the pricing page.

## Hosting and care

Monthly plans are month to month unless we agree otherwise. Hosting does not include content edits. Hosting + Care and Grow include the request counts on the pricing page. Unused requests do not roll over. Third-party tools (booking, email, domains bought in your name) are billed by those vendors.

A “small request” means up to 30 minutes of work: text, hours, prices, contact details, link swaps and image swaps on pages that already exist. It does not mean new pages, new sections, layout changes, new functionality or redesigns. If what you have asked for will take longer than that, we tell you before we start and quote it at the published rates rather than spending the time and billing after.

We acknowledge a request within 1 business day and complete a small one within 3 business days. If something is broken rather than being changed, we start on it as soon as we see it.

Your site’s files are kept in version control and every published version is retained, so a previous version can be put back if a change goes wrong. Third-party tools (booking, email, payment) keep their own data and their own backups; those are the vendor’s, not ours.

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time, in writing. It runs to the end of the month you have already paid for and we do not pro-rate. Canceling care does not change who owns the site.

## Going live

We can connect your domain and set DNS if you ask. You remain the registrant.

## Limitation

We build websites. We do not guarantee search rankings, ad results, or a number of leads. To the extent Florida law allows, our liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project in the prior 12 months.

## Governing law

Florida. Venue in Hillsborough County unless we both agree otherwise.
