Concept site · Palmetto Gale Cooling is not a real company.

Five things we do.

If you already know what you need, start here. Prices are examples for a concept site.

A technician's hand holding a meter lead beside the coil of an outdoor AC unit

Repair

No cooling, weak airflow, a frozen coil or water at the air handler. The diagnostic visit is $89, and it's waived when you approve the repair on the same visit.

An old, rusted outdoor AC unit on a metal stand beside a smaller condenser

Replacement

Quoted from a load calculation for your house, not a square-footage guess. An oversized unit cools fast, shuts off before it dries the air, and leaves the house cold and clammy.

A white ductless mini-split unit mounted high on a wall

Ductless mini-splits

For a garage conversion, an addition or a room the main system never reaches.

A round ceiling air vent with dust marks around its rings

Air quality

Filters, dehumidification and UV lights where they help, and an honest no where they don't.

Insulated metal duct runs crossing overhead in cool blue light

Ducts

Leaks sealed, crushed runs replaced, and attic ducts checked for the sweating that leads to stains on the ceiling.

What the bay does to an AC system.

  • Salt airAir off the bay corrodes coils and cabinets faster than an inland install. Expect a shorter life than the brochure says.
  • Humidity loadBay moisture keeps a system running longer for each degree of cooling. It's also why replacements are quoted from a load calculation.
  • Condensate linesAlgae in the drain line can shut a system down on the hottest day of the year. A flush at every tune-up prevents it.
  • Year-round coolingHere, "seasonal" means spring and fall, not winter, so that's when the tune-ups are timed.
